Yaron Eitan originally founded Selway Partners in 1998 after spending close to a decade as the founder and CEO of Geotek Communications, a Nasdaq listed wireless communications business solutions company with operations throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and Israel.
In 2007, Yaron launched Vector Intersect Security Acquisition Corporation, a $60 million special purpose acquisition company that purchased Cyalume Technologies in 2008. In 2009, Yaron and SCP Partners’ principal and colleague Edmundo Gonzalez decided to reinvigorate the Selway name and created Selway Capital to make new principal equity investments.
Since then, Selway Capital has been the sponsor of a special purpose vehicle, which purchased Healthcare Corporation of America in 2013. It has also launched and built CardSpark, and has helped the founders launch GenePeeks where it and Columbus Nova are the lead investors. Selway Capital has also sourced several investments for Columbus Nova, which it actively manages.
He is Chairman of Healthcare Corporation of America, GenePeeks, CardSpark, DVTel, STI and Magnolia Broadband. He also serves on the board of Cyalume.
Mr. Eitan serves as Managing Director of Columbus Nova Technology Partners, a new venture capital fund sponsored by Columbus Nova, which is actively deploying capital in the United States and Israel.
Mr. Eitan served in the Israeli Defense Forces for six years, where he reached the rank of Major. He received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Haifa University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Gonzalez has over fifteen years of experience as a consultant, manager and investor. Mr. Gonzalez has worked with Mr. Eitan since 1999 at SCP Partners, a private equity investment firm with multiple funds under management, either as a senior executive at SCP Partners’ portfolio companies or as a principal private equity investment professional.
Since March 2009, Mr. Gonzalez has served as a partner of Selway Capital where he continues to work on portfolio company transactions, including recapitalizations, acquisitions, mergers and sales. Previously, Mr. Gonzalez served as a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers Management Consulting (now IBM Business Consulting) where he consulted Fortune 500 clients in the media, telecom and publishing industries. He is a director of GenePeeks, Healthcare Corporation of America, CardSpark, AxialMed, DVTel and STI.
Mr. Gonzalez is an Operating Partner of Columbus Nova Technology Partners, a venture capital fund sponsored by Columbus Nova. The fund is actively deploying capital in the United States and Israel.
Mr. Gonzalez graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and received an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
Ms. Nedivi joined Selway Capital in 2013. She is primarily involved in conducting market research and assists in preparing due diligence and operational analysis of potential acquisitions by Selway Capital.
Prior to joining Selway, Ms. Nedivi spent two years in the Israeli Defense Forces, served as a Secretary of Operations in a combat helicopter squadron, responsible for the dispatch control of aircraft during war and combat situations. Ms. Nedivi holds a BA from IDC Herzliya.
Mr. Day joined Selway Capital in 2011, initially as an Associate Intern before transitioning to a full time role in 2013. He is primarily involved with financial and operational analysis of potential acquisitions by both portfolio companies and Selway Capital, due diligence, and market/sector analysis.
Mr. Day played a primary role in analysis and due diligence related to the merger of Selway Capital Acquisition Corporation a publicly traded special purpose acquisition company, with Healthcare Corporation of America, and in the acquisitions of WebPals and StorOne. He also serves as the primary Selway contact for portfolio companies CardSpark and Cyalume.
Prior to joining Selway, Mr. Day spent four years in the United States Army, to include deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, serving as an Airborne Ranger Infantry Platoon leader and later as a Senior Logistics Officer responsible for all logistical and readiness matters for a 461 Soldier element with $125 million in equipment, and leaving the service as a Captain. Mr. Day holds a BA from Yale University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Assaf is a leading figure in the Israeli entrepreneurial and venture community. Mr. Harel has 20 years of experience in entrepreneurial management and business development. Assaf is the Founder and Managing Director of Galim Partners, a business development and strategy consultancy which specializes in bridging Israeli innovations with leading global companies. From 2005 to 2007 Assaf was President and CEO of the IVA (the Israel Venture Capital Association). Prior to leading the IVA, Assaf held senior business development and marketing positions at Sabratec, U.S. Wireless, Schema and Geotek Communications.
Assaf holds an M.B.A from St. John’s University Graduate School of Business and a B.A. from Tel Aviv University.
